Capturing Tranquility: A Glimpse into Alecia's Healing Haven
Step into Alecia's massage studio, Cedar and Stone Massage, and you're immediately enveloped in an atmosphere of serene tranquility. I recently had the pleasure of a personal brand photography session with Alecia, a talented massage therapist dedicated to helping her clients achieve a state of healing and well-being. Her philosophy is all about providing proactive care, and her space perfectly reflects that commitment.
The Goal
Alecia and I met on a weekday morning in the local coffee shop for her consultation, a one-on-one meeting I like to have with all my personal brand clients where we deep dive into your brand's story, needs, wishes, plans, and goals. We chatted about her business, her passion and drive toward becoming a massage therapist, her goals, and what she was hoping to get from her branding session: showing customers she was available to help them feel their best, get help with pain management, and improve quality of life. I knew we could do just that! We decided to have her bring a couple of models in for her session, and we would capture new service images for her, as well as imagery of her space which she has decorated and set up herself, and finally- images of her, in her element, doing what she loves to do.

From the moment you enter her space, the carefully selected, soothing shade of sage green on the walls softens your senses, complemented by the gentle, inviting aroma of Alecia's current favorite blend of essential oils. It's a truly warm and inviting space designed for ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation. She has set the stage with the cutest and most relaxing of decor as well, from the sweetest mushroom patterned linens, to sage green towels, salt stones, plants, and the most amazing golden yellow chair I've ever seen.
Capturing Her Craft
Our session aimed to capture the essence of Alecia's offerings and the profound peace her clients experience (seriously, I thought her models were going to fall asleep on the bed!). We documented a range of her specialized services, showcasing her expertise in:
Prenatal massage: Offering gentle relief and comfort for expectant mothers.
Cupping and fire cupping: Ancient techniques known for promoting circulation and easing muscle tension.
Hot stones: Providing deep relaxation and therapeutic warmth.
Gua Sha: A healing technique which involves scraping the skin to promote circulation and reduce inflamation.
