See the the branding session for Andruk Acres Flower Market at Yoo-Par Scoops in Manistique, featuring gorgeous hanging baskets from the Garden Peninsula!
After a long, cold winter, spring in the Upper Peninsula is truly something special, and nothing marks the start of the warm season quite like vibrant, fresh blossoms. I recently had the absolute pleasure of catching up with Alison from Andruk Acres during their weekend Flower Market in Manistique. Set up right outside Yoo-Par Scoops on May 29th and 30th 2026, the event was the vibrant and full of blooms. Visitors had the chance to browse stunning floral arrangements, grab a delicious scoop of ice cream, and even play a quick round of mini-golf next door.

Bringing Fresh Garden Peninsula Flowers to Manistique
The flower pop-up event kept everyone busy as a steady stream of cars stopped by throughout our session. Customers were pulling in to select the perfect hanging flower baskets to decorate their local camps, travel trailers, and homes for the upcoming season. To make the gorgeous setup possible, Andruk Acres partnered with their friends over on the Garden Peninsula, Weaver's Greenhouse. Alison's husband was working hard behind the scenes, keeping the momentum going by bringing in loads of fresh, stunning flowers straight from the grower. With every incoming truckload, the display grew larger, more colorful, and completely transformed the space.

As a local brand photographer, capturing the hardworking energy of a family-owned business is wonderful, but capturing the sweet family moments behind it is even better. I took a moment to capture some precious lifestyle portraits of Alison's young daughter, who completely stole the show. She was rocking the cutest pair of overalls before changing into an adorable sundress, perfectly matching the bright, summery atmosphere of the market. Documenting those tiny, authentic details adds a beautiful layer of storytelling that reminds everyone of the family heart behind the brand.

✅ Seasonal Marketing & Social Media
Alison's primary goal for this personal brand photography session was to build a rich library of seasonal marketing imagery to update the Andruk Acres social media accounts and business website. High-quality, professional photos of a live event do more than just recap a weekend; they build immediate brand authority and trust. By showcasing the incredible array of the flowers and the joyful atmosphere, these images create a powerful visual record that can be used to help promote their growing farm for years to come.

Behind the Scenes: Capturing Social Media B-Roll & Brand Imagery
To maximize her time during the busy event, Alison booked my Express Branding Session paired with a Raw Reel add-on. We spent an efficient 15 minutes capturing high-quality professional brand imagery for her website, followed by a full hour dedicated entirely to gathering raw video content. Using her own phone, I captured dynamic, behind-the-scenes b-roll of the flower market in action. This meant that the second I packed up my camera gear, Alison was already armed with a library of instant, ready-to-use video content that she could immediately start piecing together and posting to her social media channels.
Looking ahead, these vibrant promotional photographs will serve as the perfect tool to advertise and build massive excitement for the flower event again next year. Eye-catching visuals are key to driving early event marketing and ensuring an even bigger turnout for future community pop-ups.
